I offer weekend and occasional weeknight flight instruction out of Wiley Post (PWA), Sundance (HSD), Guthrie (GOK), and Will Rogers (OKC) in Oklahoma City, OK.
I hold a commercial certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings, and a flight instructor certificate with the following ratings:
- CFI - Certified flight instructor, single-engine.
- MEI - Certified flight instructor, multi-engine.
- CFII - Instrument instructor.
My day job (President, OGE Energy Resources Inc.) has first priority on weekdays. Fairness to flight clients generally precludes my offering services such as primary instruction that are best provided in multiple sessions per week over an extended period.
Exceptions to the minimum certificate level
can be made on a limited basis for a pilot who is willing to participate in
structured training.
Typical services:
- Flight review (biannual) or general proficiency.
- Instrument training (demo, evaluation, training to rating, ongoing proficiency, or IPC).
- TAA with 430W and Avidyne equipment (e.g. Cirrus, Mooney, Piper). Less experience with G1000, but interested in learning.
- Complex or high-performance endorsements.
- Aircraft checkout and transition training (current focus Grumman and Mooney).
- AYA
sanctioned
Pilot Familiarization Program (PFP)
instruction for Grumman aircraft.
- Stage checks (evaluation of progress) for other instructors.
Discounted or Free Services (on case-by-case basis with initial flights to be made day/VFR):
- Multi-engine proficiency and initial operating experience (after you get a rating and checkout with someone experienced in your type). I'm working on the ATP; sitting right seat in twins and sitting backseat during your instruction is good experience for me.
- Cross-country and scenario training if the destination and/or aircraft is of interest to me (e.g. Glasair II/III, Lancair, Cirrus, Columbia, turboprop, twin).
- Angel Flight (Angel/Grace Flight South Central,
Angel Flight of Oklahoma, and
Veterans Airlift Command), second pilot, backup pilot, or logistics support.
In order to assure the best ride for the patient, we fly together one or more times prior to the Angel Flight Mission to learn your aircraft systems and develop CRM. I do not charge for Angel Flight missions or the preparatory flying.
Existing and prospective clients can view my calendar. Existing clients can book online or via phone/text. New clients are encouraged to fill out the profile form prior to requesting an appointment.
